Catching Up...
It's been a long time since I updated this blog -
nearly 4 months!
That's not because I'm not interested, but I've been too busy. Anyway, here's an update...

Victoria (the Roayl Python) contnues to go from
strength to strength. She is feeding very well - a
large mouse at least once per week. She has also shed
her skin at least one more time since I last wrote -
and with this sloughing, the injury to her side has
almost healed over. One more slough and it will be
hardly noticeable.
She's now over 600g in weight (it's about 3 weeks since I last weighed her), and I need to measure her length again soon. I've just put a mouse out to thaw for her supper tonight. I thaw them out on top of the viv both because it is warm enough to thaw fairly quickly, but not too warm to cause any problems. the other reason to thaw them there is that she can 'smell' them, and she gets active and starts hunting for them before I put them in the viv. As soon as she sees it, she grabs. No feeding problems with this one!
Got a couple of new additions as well - a pair of African Giant Millipedes - Archispirostreptus gigas (also known as 'Train Millipedes'). Strictly speaking, these are for my son Ryan, but I am guessing I'll be the major carer here! These two are about 8" (20cm) long, one a pure jet black, the other has a tinge of brown.

First observation with
these two - they just love cucumber!
I'll post more soon. My new project now is to build a
new vivarium for a trio of adult Beardies that I am
collecting next week. I'll keep you posted!
