Very Active, Very Hungry

Well, the title says it all!

I have been letting her roam around for an hour or two every evening - it seems to stimulate her and get her moving around the viv a lot more than she had been doing.
Here’s a couple of shots - a snake in the grass and another of her exploring the living room.

I'm not convinced that this is the whole cause of her being more alert and active - it could be that she is recovering from whatever made her so poorly. However, she seems to enjoy the freedom, so I’ll continue for now.

Offered her a large mouse tonight and she struck at it as soon as she saw it. unfortunately, she missed, and banged her nose on a log instead. No worries though, she struck again as soon as I moved it and swallowed it quickly (right way round, this time!).

The sores on her side are still evident, but they are dry and don’t seem to bother her. She doesn’t flinch when I touch them. I expect she will have those until her next sloughing.

She still has some scraps of skin round the back of her head and the first few inches of the back and sides. It is coming off in bits and pieces though, so I’m not greatly worried any more.
