Originating from the Chaco region of Argentina and Paraguay, this spider is easily recognised by its large size and distinctive golden-orange bands on its legs, contrasting beautifully with its dark body.
Known for being docile and slow-moving, the Chaco Golden Knee is often recommended for beginners interested in keeping tarantulas as pets. It typically grows to a leg span of 6 to 7 inches and can live for 10 years or more under proper care. These tarantulas prefer a dry, warm environment with moderate humidity and plenty of hiding spots.
